John A. Kassebaum is the President and Founder of StellarWind Developmnet, LLC, a Professional Electrical and Computer Engineering Consultancy serving the Indianapolis local Area. In addition to being a Registered Professional Engineer in Indiana, he is also a Co-chair of the Central Indiana Engineering Consultants' Network - an affiliate of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a member of the Alliance of IEEE Consultants' Networks (AICN). He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and serves as the current (2005) Vice-Chair for the Central Indiana Section of the IEEE. John is a highly skilled and experienced project engineer, holding an Master's Degree (and is ABD on his PhD) in Electical Engineering from Purdue University, who has contributed technical leadership and direction on multiple, very successful large-scale projects. He provides expertise particularly in the areas of software engineering and programming, computer systems design, serial and parallel algorithm design, and in fault tolerance and recovery methods for use in distributed software systems. His knowledge and practical experience with object-oriented programming methods, software version control, and quality issue tracking has proven invaluable to his project teams? successes. In addition, he provides experience in software scope of effort estimation, risk mitigation planning, and in developing and tailoring software development processes to efficiently meet customer needs. He possesses a long list of skills including countless computer languages, UNIX system administration experience, higher mathematics, and engineering theory. John?s specialties include software architecture, algorithm analysis, optimization, pattern recognition, signal processing, Bayesian analysis, and neural networks. His experience derives from over 9 years of advanced graduate level coursework and thesis research, 10+ years of high tech R&D work for the U.S. Department of Defense, and over 6 years of high-tech development experience in the private sector.
